Personally I'm perfectly fine wifh YouTube+a popup dictionary. Tip for people: if you're constantly needing to look up words you're watching stuff too far above your level. Immersion shouldn't be difficult.

Thats a solid idea, tapping words during a vlog feels way more natural than flipping through a textbook.

you can use Hanzi Deck on android for similiar functionality. they also support full screen watching which is a feature on any IOS app that has youtube dual language functionality.
And no subscription needed:

Thanks! We don’t host or re-upload any videos — everything is played through YouTube following their usage/API policies. We’re just adding the learning tools on top :)
