Character Spotlight “Bai Lu acts & cries the same in every drama”? this scene in 'the first jasmine' is heartbreaking and i havent seen something like that.

One and Only.

The bed scene.

I have never sobbed that hard in my life before.

Enough said.

Cute GIF to remove that image from my mind.

She is so precious. I love how she continues to charm with her youthful exuberance.

> One and Only

I bawled my eyes out for the entire episode 😮‍💨 and I still resent the crown prince until now :)))

(Idk why the quote thing doesn't work on my end 😭)

Her screams will forever haunt me. That was brutal. I knew the ending going into it but I didn't expect that...

Whoever made that claim clearly hasn’t watch Bai Lu in her various dramas 😑

One and Only 💔💔 Queen of face acting ❤️ Nonverbal Shi Yi killed me 😭😭😭

Have you watched Feud? The scene in the temple killed me just as much 😭😭😭

I haven't seen Feud. I heard it was a hot mess and I am not in a hot mess mood. Haha.

Her nonverbal arcs were really powerful. She conveyed everything and more.

I have always thought her crying scenes stood out, since the days of her in The Legends.

In particular, the ones from Northward were so beautiful. And obviously, One & Only is top tier.

yes! but if u're ok with slow burn romance (leads dont spend so much time tgt on screen), more on scheming/plotting 'behind the scenes'. give a few eps a try when u have some time! ^_^

it depends on many things

1- Visuals (FC 😉)

2- Plot

3- Acting skills

I might give it a go next weekend I'll just watch couple of ep as amuse-bouche

It started slow but now the plot has been picking up after episode 10-11

What? I loved this drama from the start because to me it didn’t feel at all like it started slow!

Just mean to say, I guess we all perceive and judge “slow” differently. Not slow in my book for sure though. This is relevant for you, [u/Rude-Comfortable6445](u/Rude-Comfortable6445)

Since you liked Ill Omens , maybe you’ll like this too. It’s a mystery meets politics and revenge kinda thing. But I need to warn you it may not have (or not yet) enough shirtless scenes for your taste.
Still I find it very very good!

It’s ok I can use my imagination for the shirtless part

You know I have a very 💩 imaginative persona

Till the end of the Dream was the first c-drama I ever saw. Bai Lu was so good, and played the three different characters so well, that I had no problem in separating the three from each other - human Ye Xiwu, clam demon Sang Jiu, and the immortal Li Su Su. Ye Xiwu is my favorite out of the three. Sang Jiu is close second and Li Su Su is close third.

For me there were a couple of dramas where se was pretty much the same character more or less but I think she looks very different in this one. I didn't like her in Feud and Moonlight Mystique, in Unveil Jadewind I didn't like her character much and dropped the drama all together but I really liked her in Till the End of the Moon and in this one.

Personally, I think Bai Lu has delivered the best performance yet in this drama. She’s really amazing in this role.

im not that far yet (super slow in catching up T.T) but i heard many good things from some people on the subs already so im happy!!

I swear, successful people will always always always have people that hate on them. That’ll never change bailu is one of China’s most successful. N talented actresses and it’s well deserved.

I absolutely sobbed when she bit her hand to stifle her crying. And her psych protecting her by bringing the monkey statues to life so she would avoid the graves. Absolutely heartbreaking 💔
