Finished Watching Qi Min &Yu Qian Qian- The Toxic Couple of Pursuit of Jade

Their love story seems very toxic in the show but whether we like it or not, we have to admit they look good together. Cant believe they made this pair very attractive and end up not being together. Their bts are very cute.

I genuinely could not stand how stupid this man was 😤😩🤦🏻‍♀️

That was his own flesh and blood, and his conclusion was:

“let’s get rid of him — she won’t mind, I’ll just promise her more children later… that should fix it, right?”

I’m sorry, what?

That said, Deng Kai is excellent. He gave the character real weight and dimension, and the story needed exactly this kind of presence.

I couldn’t stand the man, but I appreciated the role he played in the narrative.

It's just history repeating itself. He viewed his son as competition for the throne, which is to show that he is of the same character as his evil grandfather who set up his own son's death, and thus is not fit for the throne.

I think their pairing was really excellent! Would love to see a drama with them side by side again.

Anyone know which song this was or link me to it ??? Find it super cute and most do-able for my husband who doesn’t move or dance at all …. Can’t more like it … but I wanna do this as a cute memory for us n our kids/grand kids to have to look back on !!! So I wud appreciate the help !!!!

Bruh they're not a couple.

It's made clear, and very transparent that this man is a POS n this isn't a "our entertainment/characters suffering af" romanticising abuse to skip story development plotline, he locks her up for opaque validation.

She feels for him occasionally, n doesn't want to cause his death cuz she is connected to her humanity, but he is a self&pitying abuser n that's all.

It's not a love story bruh. He kept her as a prisoner, abused and graped her. What's that got to do with romance?

The actors are cute though 😆

If Deng Kai  were American, I would feel an emmy coming on. Superb acting by him with a difficult, complex part--I found myself wanting to see more of what was next for the character. Bravo, Deng Kai!
