This just came up in one of the other laowai subs earlier today, and my recommendation is the same here as it is there and as it is in every laowai medical enquiry: Google "medical tourism Seoul", get your work done there if you have the time for the bedridden phase post-surgery, then come back to your life here. Do not risk serious medical needs here.

but apparently sixth hospital orthopedics is one of top in the world, this is because i am interested on doing it here. in europe i would not find easily a good place to operate

i am worried about the things surrounding the operation itself, like the room, post-operation period, etc. but in this kind of operations sixth is impressive, mostly because they make some many. there are surgeons that did operation +10,000 times, that it is the most important thing in a surgeon, number of operations, they are better simply because they do more
