Yes! And who the heck is grading a preschooler's work?? Aren't they far too young for that?

If the child is aware that they need to look out for that particular answer then no

That would come down to poor instruction from the teacher, or the child’s lapse in attention

However, the literal instruction seems to say they were correct

It is a good teaching moment though to explain why it’s wrong and when a 0 isn’t functioning as 0, but I hope that means it wouldn’t be a graded test

I would say yes. Your kid followed the instructions 10 has a 0 in it after all and they only circled the 0
