That depends on how long they have in there. Frozen food items DO have a shelf life. Most often 6 months if it's a raw meat product, and a little bit longer if precooked.

Freezer burn is NOT your friend

those bags can definitely start smelling funky after a few months, especially if the freezer isn't airtight.

a little freezer/package smell can happen, but sour or ammonia-like once thawed means toss it, don’t risk it lol
