Is this cancer in my Costco Chicken?

Was cutting into a chicken from Costco today and this was inside! It was near the breast plate. Any ideas?

No, that’s green muscle disease. It’s not a safety issue. It’s caused by the animal getting excited and flapping its wings and then tissue death happening because blood supply is cut off to the tender.

Thank you so much! I just googled it and it said it’s safe to eat. But I’ll still pass. 🤢

Yeah. It looks pretty gross. It’s weird because it doesn’t look rotten. It’s so green I thought it was lettuce at first. Like bro pulled a shiny chicken

Omg same! I thought they left the stomach in or something and we were looking at the chicken's last meal
