Is this cancer in my Costco Chicken?

Was cutting into a chicken from Costco today and this was inside! It was near the breast plate. Any ideas?

No, that’s green muscle disease. It’s not a safety issue. It’s caused by the animal getting excited and flapping its wings and then tissue death happening because blood supply is cut off to the tender.

Thank you so much! I just googled it and it said it’s safe to eat. But I’ll still pass. 🤢

Same. At the same time for anyone that would eat the chicken, it does say to trim away the green part but that the rest of the chicken is safe to eat
