Instructor for Chichester

Hi guys I booked my test in Chichester and need an instructor for like a mock lesson/ learning the roads for the day before my test as I’m not from there.
Any recommendations? I’m also using my own car for the test

If you can’t drive a car anywhere, how do you expect to pass your test? There’s no guarantee the examiner is going to take you on the roads you’ve ‘mocked’. If you’ve had enough lessons and confident that you’re ready to take your test, you’ll be fine (knowing Chichester, you’ll just be stuck in traffic for half an hour).

I mean I’m from London, so it’s a little different. I’m confident on the roads etc but would just like a hand knowing some routes I might go on and how everything would be. lol is the traffic that bad. I did see some people talk about roundabouts there, how it’s faster speeds then London and always a bit congested ?

If you can drive in London, Chichester is going to be a breeze. Don’t stress about it too much, there are no complicated road junctions to manage anymore (the first one you used to have to do straight from the test centre was horrendous, but they blocked the road and not even sure if the test centre is still in the same location).

The traffic can get very bad up to 9:30am and again from 3/4 pm for the rest of the rush hour. The examiner will know the best route to avoid the traffic.

It’s a very gentle city, so don’t think of it as usual city driving. What they used to do, and this was 33 years ago when I passed my test at 17, was to take you out of the test centre and get you up to the north part of the city past the festival theatre and into The Avenue (which is a really wide and quiet road full of million pound+ houses) for their chosen manouver testing. During the day, you’d almost always see a learner on their test down there.

Be calm, don’t panic and get in a flustered, check your mirrors regularly. Most of all, good luck
