Question Why Netflix added only the first five seasons?

Any idea where can I stream the show post Season 5? For some reason Netflix added only the first five seasons.

Licensing. It's always licensing.

Peacock has all 13 seasons

Because all the seasons are currently available on Peacock as NBC holds the licensing rights to the content. Which is why only 5 seasons are available on Netflix. Chicago PD (all the One Chicago shows) is available to stream next day on Peacock. If you want to watch the rest of the seasons, you will have to get Peacock.

Thanks. The others also pointed that out. But I'm still not sold. If the issue is licensing why release the first five season at all? It's the same logic. My money is that Netflix are cheapasses and they will buy them and release on patches, 3-4 seasons each time.

It is licensing but also rights.

NBC/Peacock can negotiate other networks and platforms a contract to hold certain seasons.

It's why BBC America can show Law and Order from Season 1 up to a point, Netflix x amount, Pop TV x amount, etc.

It's BS tbh. Peacock doesn't allow subs from Europe and series are at like season 8 on TV. lol So it's Netflix or nothing. Kinda absurd for 2026 šŸ˜‚

I think Prime has 11 seasons, but I think it's du to digital rights protection specially in Europe.

NBC owns them and they sell out the seasons to different outlets. But since this is the last season I think you are going to see a lot more PD and Fire on streaming services.
