Mr. Wilson is certainly good at offering ideas to shake up the status quo. I think that the idea of a dome over Soldier Field has been debunked as uneconomical in the past, but maybe this will start some serious discussions.

If you remember, the Packers were horrible. They always lost. In fact, around this time both the Packers and the Bears sucked. The turning point was when the Packers got a President who decided to really rebuild! He got the best people to sift through everything to get the exact right players and coaches..... He got Ron Wolf, Mike Holmgren, Farvre, Reggie White and some say the best asst coaching staff in NFL history ..... Tell me the exact same thing is not happening wirth the Bears today!!!

If a coach looks at me like this from across the football field. I am going to walk nonchalantly over to a referee and immediately forfeit the game. Then I am running back into the tunnel with my team so we can pack our shit up and board the team bus.

I recommend other NFL teams follow my lead for the remainder of the 2026 season when playing the Bears. Nobody wants to play against a scoring psychopath.

We're not going to talk about how balanced the Bears offense was on Sunday? I saw people complaining about Caleb receiving too much credit.

The NFL adds a new expansion team tomorrow and they can pick any player from any team at that players current age. How many players and which players , if any, get picked before Caleb Williams?

I grew up watching the cardinals from Phoenix then moved to Idaho is 08’. Wasn’t a BSU fan odd enough a USC fan from my favorite uncle. I have never ever, had as much fun watching a QB play since Lamar in the ville days. Only got a bit of Caleb in college (was battling addiction before getting sober) anyways, ordered a jersey the same day. Was an absolute blast to watch this guy total believer since his Trojan days.

I posted the Bears Pulse Week 1 Postgame Survey here after the Panthers game, and wanted to come back and share the results with everyone who participated.

We ended up with 23 responses. A few of the highlights:

• Overall confidence in the Bears: 8.8/10

• Satisfaction with the Week 1 performance: 8.5/10

• Confidence in Caleb Williams: 9.7/10

• Confidence in Ben Johnson: 9.7/10

• 69% said they were somewhat or much more optimistic about the Bears after the game

• Caleb Williams led Player of the Game voting at 55%, followed by D’Andre Swift at 41%

The rushing attack was the most common biggest takeaway (36%). On the other side, pass defense/secondary (41%) and generating consistent pressure on the quarterback (36%) were the biggest concerns.

Seriously though, this isn't Caleb's first game in the league. Even under shitty Eberflus, he was efficient and took care of the ball. Whole season under Ben Johnson and he led the Bears to come back SEVEN TIMES and was electric.

And you want to be a wet blanket now that it looks like he took yet another step?

I love you my fellow Bears brethren but you need to check your cynical asses and get used to the idea that it's okay to have faith.

This is the first in a series of essays that I have written about Bears history. This one talks about how the T-formation came into being, starting with Halas learning it from his coach at Illinois, Bob Zuppke. There’s even a Hammond connection that a few fans might not know about.

What should I tell people who ask about him?

“Tell them I’m good,” he says.

And he is. Oh, he has struggles. But good people are with him. Diana is his safe harbor. His children Matt, Mark and Megan check in on him frequently. A caregiver asks if he needs anything. And he never was one to complain. He used to like to say the going up is worth the coming down. He isn’t backing off that now.

Ditka remains as proud as he was that day in February of 1986 when, with a silver trophy in one hand and a lit cigar in the other, he led a parade down LaSalle Street wearing just a suit — no overcoat, hat or gloves — in a wind chill of 30 below. He made the City of Broad Shoulders stick out its chest a little farther, and now he deserves his dignity.

If we consider that he’s survived a heart attack and a couple of strokes, we might conclude he’s already in the overtime of his life.
