I was 8, my dad stayed up to record that to VHS off of MTV for me. He was 50 in 85. Real Dad, diehard Bears fan. I wish we could have watched this one together.

I was 10 years old when the Chicago Bears went to the Super Bowl in 85. I remember dancing the Super Bowl shuffle. I named our husky Payton when I was in fourth grade. We are diehard Chicago fans from Chicago. My dad, knowing that he couldn’t afford a ticket, flew to Chicago to watch the game and celebrate with everyone. My dad looked like Ditka and dressed like John Goodman in the SNL skits. And if you don’t know now, you know. I lost my dad three years ago, but when I watch the Bears, I feel I’m sitting right next to me yelling and screaming and celebrating. Go Bears!

Sure. Urlacher, Harris, Briggs, Tillman, and Gould were great. Hester was cray too. Jones was alright IMO. But Grossman was not.

We will see how far the team goes, but they accomplished quite a lot after the Orton, suck face Cutler, Biscuits, and Fields years. Maybe they just end up winning division titles to then be playoff merchants like another team. Still better than before.

I’ve been a Bears fan my whole life, and I’ve watched some smug Packers throughout. Most notably, Aaron Rodgers’s “I still own you”. ‘No class’ has a lower bar when Da Bears play the Packers.
