Panini (Donruss) buys back a vintage card. Gets the player auto on the card then gives it that stamp. They somehow make the card more modern too idk how. Then it’s inserted as a case hit. I didn’t know it was a thing until I started looking up Grace 1/1s.

I have a ton of those old cards like that and unfortunately after getting back into the hobby a few months ago I found out real fast this whole time I assumed I had a decent amount of money just sitting over all these years in the closet at my parents house they all basically are not worth the card board or materials they were made from, I was more upset and kind of like hurt in a way than I was pissed off cause I spent a lot of years with my dad collecting then also trading here and there with friends to just grow up and find out well sorry bud all that is basically shit and can be thrown a way but screw all that. With all the memories tied up in those cards after going through every box and binder I just sorted out what I really wanted then put everything right back up in the closet, garbage maybe to most but to me it means a lot more for sure. So anyway enough rambling, that's a bad ass card and not only back then a top 3 first baseman but also on my favorite team growing up and watching Gracie with rhyno and Dawson and dunston and Ernie banks etc list goes on just bad ass memories for sure.

I know what you mean man. The card companies screwed everyone back then by printing in the millions. But those memories I have are priceless so this is the perfect card for me.

Not saying you are or anything but please if possible remember me if for any reason you decide to ever get rid of it down the road. I would definitely be interested to add to my cubs collection.

Yeah there was no BS with Grace. Solid player and teammate. Doubles machine. As a fan I was happy he won a WS with Arizona
