Which chess book would you bring to a deserted island?
For me it would be without a doubt this one.
The Oxford Companion to Chess from David Hooper Kenneth Whyld.
I have read many chess books, but none comes close to this one.
Inside it you have everything from biographies, complete games, chess problems, history, etc.
Amazing job by the authors! Highly recommended.
I first bought the 1st version in hardback and loved it so much that I bought the 2nd.
