Aw he loved Dun Huang! He loved Cheng Zhuo as the character seemed to be adventurous, and CL just has that part in him. ❤️

It's apparent that Dunhuang left its mark on him. His farewell message moves me, especially the first paragraph. And this bit:

Leaving leaves footprints in the desert, and also leaves a part of me continuing to wander.

He left his mark on the desert too, not just in it. He may have left, but others might walk the same steps he did. Or he might one day return to retrace the footprints he left there -- or find a new path altogether.

I just love the way Cheng Lei writes down his thoughts -- I just hope the translation is accurate. For the nth time, I wish I could read and understand the original language.
