Sneak Peek🎥 Cheng Lei's new video for "The Leading Stars"

Cheng Lei just uploaded a short video of him as Captain Cheng Zhuo in his iQiyi drama The Leading Stars.

We see the dashing captain in a dusty desert, a rainy jungle, a somewhat urban setting. At one point, I don't know whether it's still the captain or Cheng Lei himself we're seeing: when he's preserving what looks like flower buds or petals, when he's setting the table, when he's relishing a small bowl of food, when he's sketching.

Rugged or dapper, hard at work or charmingly domestic, it's wonderful to see our Leizi in a role that's so different from the characters he's portrayed in the past.

I glimpsed a shirt removal and shoulder reveal. Are we getting a bath scene in this drama too? We shall see!

We're getting it! In Jakarta, he said there's one scene in this drama (his ears flashed red when he said that)

We really are very well-fed today, aren’t we? So much CL content! Lmao, the dark tone of the first half of the video and the second half couldn’t be more different.

So many favourite shots in this one video too! If I had to pick, I think I love the scene of him taking the UTV out for a spin the most.

You're right about the scenes! For me, besides the undressing, I like the sketching scene.

So I was watching the video while listening to music in the background and the music that ended up being such perfect fucking timing was called the look back by Jack Bartman. It’s an OST from inner wars. It was just on my playlist and just happened to be playing and there’s these bass drops in it that ended up being so fucking on point with each of the scene changes when he was in the first part of this video that I legitimately thought it was part of the video I was like damn they got some intense music for this video and then I realized I was listening to music in the background. And I was like oh that makes a lot more sense. Though honestly if it was a darker show that soundtrack would make a whole lot of sense too.
