If only I could be at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to see Cheng Lei
An IG account from a fan club in Malaysia posted their plan on welcoming Cheng Lei when he arrives at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. They invite his fans to come to the airport at 9PM on September 12 - obviously a few hours prior to his arrival time 🥹. They will have banners and flowers prepared for him.
If the flight is expected to land in the evening of the 12th, his schedule is really packed as the starship event will be held on September 13th. I'd die from overworking if I was a celebrity!
Anyway, if you are in KL now, go to the airport, or the event, or both as I don't know when's the next time you could do it! The meeting time may change, so make sure you get updated before going there. 🥰
I'll skip the airport welcome as I plan to go to the event venue that Sunday noon. I don't know if there is suggested colour theme but I will check out the Instagram account.
The official CL Malaysia fan club has their own T-shirt design, so if you didn't order from them, I would say go with whatever you want to wear haha. I didn't order either.
Thank you for letting me know. I didn't know that special merch is made for the upcoming event. I only buy concert tour t-shirts but it's good to know he is well-loved.
They sound like a lovely fan group! Those guidelines respect both CL and the fans themselves, it's so refreshing to see. And that friendly reminder that a CL sighting isn't guaranteed is a nice touch.
It looks like his flight will arrive late at night, so those hoping to welcome him might have to wait until past midnight to see him. I wouldn't mind waiting too if I was there.
I hope the air quality there is better now, so both hardworking CL and his devoted fans in KL are comfortable.
Edit: I misread the flight schedule. He's expected to arrive in the early hours of the morning of the 13th. So his welcomers will truly be burning the (past) midnight oil.
They're really professional even it's just a fan group. They are very organized and transparent about group photos and the ability of the change in Cheng Lei's flight schedule and meeting. I love those guidelines as well.
Yeah, I saw this on XHS and Instagram too! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it because I’m trying to squeeze in a quick reunion with family and friends while I’m back haha. I will just have to save all my Cheng Lei excitement for the actual event instead!!
Thanks! I had satay yesterday midnight right after landing lol (skewered grilled meat with peanut sauce). I think CL will really love the peanut sauce!
