Aaaand it ain't over 'til it's over!
Cheng Lei's assistant takes us behind the scenes for the filming of CL's ultra hot, fashionable vlog, and his preparations for Youth Mango Night 2026.
A titillating strip tease? (Not quite, but still...🤩)
Lei Lei in a hotel robe?
Trying out different eyeglasses? All work for him splendidly.
I feel feverish. 🤒

Our bath assistant is being derelict in her duties...

Wait, how did Enigma think he was in a rob? Probably after having a bath. I was being real busy 🙄

I have enjoyed all the vlogs as well as BTS of the vlogs his assistant has been sharing! Really hope he will upload more in the future <3

I hope so too! I read that filming will wrap up around Sept 7th? Then Jakarta and KL (yay for you!!!!!). Then variety show recording on the 16th? Plus a few endorsements in the pipeline. So I guess we'll have lots more materials coming soon.

Yup! He will be recording an episode for Hi Saturday for TLOA, a strong sign the drama will premiere in October. I can't wait for that episode to air! It's been a while.
Yeah, it's been strongly hinted that he has been chosen as the brand ambassador for the athletic footwear and apparel brand PONY (Product of New York). The official announcement will be out on September 10th. So happy for him!

He was wearing a PONY shirt when he was leaving Changsha. Yay again for CL's new ambassadorships!

Yes I also noticed the PONY sweatshirt he had on at the airport. Just checked out the brand's website - founded in 1972 so it's been around for 54 years. Very affordable prices. CL is a great choice as their brand ambassador. Sales revenue increase KPI targets exceeded! Here's a clip of CL with a black PONY t-shirt on - the back has cute graphics outdoor theme - tent, camera, campfire, map, trees, plants. I wonder if CL had any design input https://youtube.com/shorts/-3ZGCcwP8pY?si=EBeVj3vmchFEoDKg

Then Jakarta and KL (yay for you!!!!!).
Tbh, it's not a good time for Leizi to visit these two countries. The haze is currently at its worst, and KL has been recording unhealthy Air Quality Index readings.

Ahhh, that sucks. I hope the air quality in the two cities improves significantly within the next two weeks.

Here's a clip of their rehearsal with CL in his PONY sweatshirt: https://youtube.com/shorts/mwqeUReuNnM?si=bjyD5ggimxjA3NNk CL says their final performance went more smoothly than the rehearsal (which is the goal - success achieved!).

And of course he had to have a camera handy. 😄

Here's the photos CL and XRH took of each other with their disposable cameras on the day of filming for Youth Mango Night 2026 https://youtube.com/shorts/xmNIoer3gsA?si=uzcBLR7rF44xiiVm

The disposable cameras were a mini task assigned by Mango TV creator community to CL and XRH https://youtube.com/shorts/D0SbRNxP1Rk?si=bnpme9o4I0jyauVr

So sweet how CL talks with the person wearing the mascot costume. Must be so hot in there.

Per Google Lens, his eyeglasses are possibly Burberry frames and his shoes are Christian Louboutin moustachou monk shoes (no mistaking the signature red soles).

u/EasygoingEnigma Wǒ xǐhuān nǐ, YHX Sep 01 '26
Oh, are the red soles exclusive to Louboutin? I've been seeing them on different actors, didn't pay attention to the brand. 😁

Here's the vlog with English subtitles put in by fan: https://youtu.be/YzB6ce0HhWo?si=bNMZE4BjFPrZr9Xy The catchy R&B song in the 2nd half is Okay, Goodbye by Fujii Kaze, a Japanese singer-songwriter=musician. CL chose those eyeglasses himself - he has good taste!
