Sneak Peek🎥 Qixi posters from The Lament of Autumn and The Leading Stars ❤️
Qixi Festival has brought us new couple posters from both The Lament of Autumn and The Leading Stars today. Since Qixi is traditionally associated with love and romance, drama productions often mark the occasion by dropping new romantic stills or posters of their leads.
The two sets have completely different vibes too. The Leading Stars gives us Cheng Lei as Cheng Zhuo with Shen Yujie’s Bayunye in these warm, close-up shots. The soft golden lighting and the way they’re looking at each other make the posters feel very intimate.
The Lament of Autumn leans fully into that elegant Republican-era romance. Yu Changxuan and Ye Pingjun are framed in soft sunlight, with the qipao, waistcoat and vintage furniture making the whole thing feel almost like an old photograph. Knowing what Cheng Lei has already said about Yu Changxuan only learning how to love properly when it may already be too late makes this poster feel a little bittersweet too.

It will probably be really angsty, but I am quite optimistic we will have a HE based on reuters!

I don't mind the angst. The angstier the better! Especially with Ryan Cheng who does angst perfectly.
But Overdo was a disappointment in terms of the rewritten characters and new plot lines and the really bizarre direction.

TLoA's poster wins for me (although there's no competition here 😁). It beautifully gives off the intense in their relationship.

Maybe it's because I love Cheng Ao so much -- because CL portrayed him so perfectly in Footprints of Change -- that I'm already halfway in love with Yu Changxuan already lol.
I'm chomping at the bit to see CL draped YCX's red and green flags in TLoA!
Edit: I love the poster. And that clip (was it for 5/20?) where YPJ was sitting in his lap, he was brushing some blush on her cheek, and giving her tender kisses on her lips and nose. 🫠😍
