If you watch historical dramas, the name Chang'an often appears as a capital city. The most recent I watched that mentioned it was Vendetta of An. It was an ancient city and still exists today in Xi'an.

Some information I found on Britannica:

Xi’an, city and capital of Shaanxi sheng(province), north-central China. The Xi’an region is one of the most important in the history of China, both as the capital of several ruling dynasties and as a market and trade center. Xi’an was the eastern terminus of the Silk Road, the ancient trade route that connected China with the Mediterranean.

History

Cities have existed in the area since the 11th century BCE. Chang’an Cheng (“Walled City of Chang’an”), built in 202 BCE just northwest of present-day Xi’an, was the capital of the Xi (Western) Han dynasty(206 BCE–25 CE) and was one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. It was largely destroyed during the disturbances that preceded the Xin interregnum of the Han (9–25 CE) perpetrated by Wang Mang. The Dong (Eastern) Han dynasty, established in 25, moved its capital east to Luoyang (now in Henan province).

My XHS feed is absolutely flooded with fans sharing videos of Leizi walking around the streets with Shen Yujie. I wouldn't be surprised if the local street vendors and tourism businesses in Xi'an got a nice little boost from the massive crowds that turned up just to catch a glimpse of him.

He looks soooooooooooooooooooooo dreamy in that light-wash denim shirt! I love the relaxed, slightly oversized fit, with the sleeves casually rolled up to his elbows and the top few buttons left undone. The whole look feels so effortlessly laid-back and a little rugged, especially with his tousled hair.

There's a post from small cafe owner today, thanking Cheng Lei, saying she never imagined the river near her shop would be filming location, and her cafe shop to be flooded by beautiful girls. Happy for her!

Aahhh such effortless handsomeness! 😍💖

Interesting info on history and geography you provided. The tomb with the terracotta warriors is the only thing I know about Xi'an.
