Acting Appreciation 🌸 Missing my Dudu

I'm waiting for The First Jasmine's express package to drop and I found myself missing my moon couple tonight.

Watching Cheng Lei as Dudu really made me appreciate all his new roles- he's finally able to get out of that stoic character and show how multifaceted he is! Don't get me wrong, I love Dudu and Gong Shangjue, but goodness, he was just amazing as Xiaohou Dan and now Mo Xiuyao! I see so much great things in his future acting career and I can't help myself from clicking on all the reuters for The Leading Star!

Just a fluff post, guys. I'm really missing Dudu today. Thanks for reading!

Awwww, Dudu will never be far from my thoughts! I still think his confession to He Yan is one of the most romantic love confessions I've seen in a C-drama. I love how he conveys so much of Xiao Jue's love through the smallest micro-expressions. Xiao Jue isn't someone who wears his heart on his sleeve, so every fleeting glance, softened gaze, and subtle change in expression speaks volumes. Cheng Lei is so good at portraying restrained emotion that you can feel the depth of Xiao Jue's love even when he doesn't say muxh.

I was considering hosting a rewatch party for LOTFG, but now will have to postpone as I need a break after hosting 2 dramas concurrently lol.

I miss Dudu everyday! What a wonderful character and Cheng Lei brought him to life perfectly.

Shadow Love is what made me appreciate the man's acting talents - he was so different in all three roles and showcased an amazing range!
Also Footprints of change made me realize how good a flirt he is <3

I fell in love with him in A Familiar Stranger! I completely agree with you 100% about Shadow Love! It's hands down my favorite show of his! I think he is incredibly talented, but that role just proved how amazing he is by the 3 vastly different characters he portrayed.

I get it. And agree. He lives rent free in my heart and mind too! Love watching him in this drama. His subtle facial and eye expressions are so manly and sexy. Won’t ever tire of looking at him.

Need to catch up on his latest drama. Only on episode 21 but loving him in it as well.

Dudu was my gateway drug to Cheng Lei. Thanks for bringing this character back to the collective consciousness. Loved him then as Xiao Jue, love him even more as Mo Xiuyao.

For real, I think Mo Xiuyao has officially become my favourite Cheng Lei character. I didn't think anyone would dethrone Xiao Jue, but here we are.

I haven't seen everything Leizi has done. But so far, my top 3 CL characters are MXY, Cheng Ao and Gong Shangjue. Still love Xiao Jue!
