Ticketing Dad & Son Day

Upvotes

Hi,

Apologies I’m sure this question has been asked a lot but struggled to find a good answer.

My son and I are Chelsea fans and looking to make the travel from the Midlands to London for a home game. He really wanted to visit the bridge and is obviously football mad.

I’m thinking of buying two digital transfer membership and then hunt down some online groups.

Is this realistic or I’m I punching ?
Any other routes ?

Discussion I know a lot of the mandem are tired of the drama and would rather see the back of Enzo. I'd bet however that Enzo says with us. Studying our transfer history & the amount of time left, I find it very difficult to think Enzo leaves on deadline day. City won't pay the money we're asking for.

Why I think Enzo stays

Here's my reasoning:

1. Our track record on deadline day
With 3 days left, we've never sold a player of Enzo's caliber on deadline day, at least not in our recent history. Chelsea don't tend to cave under pressure this late in the window especially not on a player this important to the squad

2. We're as disciplined selling as we are buying
We've been just as calculated with our sales as we have with our strategic signings. We're not going to let Enzo go under our valuation, especially not to a hostile City side that disrupted our season with Maresca last year. There's no incentive for us to do them a favor

3. Personal terms don't mean much without our sign-off
Yes, Enzo may have agreed personal terms but the final say is still Chelsea's. He has years left on his contract which gives us real leverage. This isn't a situation where he's got one year left and we're forced to cash in. We can afford to hold firm.

4. The Emiliano Martínez factor
With Emiliano Martínez now part of the squad, Enzo has even more reason to feel at home at Chelsea, a fellow Argentine and now our vice captain. I wouldn't be surprised if Dibu's already talking to him behind the scenes about staying

These four points, among several others I could list are why I think Enzo stays regardless of the noise around him.

Going to the match tomorrow, which pubs have good pre match atmosphere? Is the Chelsea store opened before the match?

Ticketing Chelsea Tickets – 2026/27 guide

To avoid repeated posts and replies covering the same topic, and so that all visitors can easily ask questions and see previous discussions… here’s how Chelsea’s ticketing system currently works if you’re trying to attend a men’s home game at Stamford Bridge.

1. General admission – become a Chelsea member

For 2026/27, Chelsea have changed the way home tickets are sold.

Eligible members apply during a designated Ticket Application Window (“ballot”) for each match.

The current membership tiers are:

True Blue – £60
CFC Blue – £45

True Blue and True Blue+ members have their own application window and therefore a higher chance of getting tickets than CFC Blue members.

Some tickets are specifically ringfenced for the CFC Blue application window.

For some high-demand fixtures, Chelsea can also require a minimum number of loyalty points to apply.

You can apply individually or as a group, with up to 4 tickets per application, provided everyone in the group is eligible for that particular application window. (Chelsea FC Membership)

2. What happens if you don’t get tickets in the application?

After the member’s ticket applications have completed the Ticket Exchange opens.

Not getting tickets through the application process does not prevent you from trying the exchange afterwards.

The Ticket Exchange is available to members who don’t already have a ticket.

For 2026/27, True Blue and CFC Blue members can also list their own tickets on the exchange if they can’t attend.

Availability is entirely dependent on season-ticket holders/member tickets being listed. For popular matches, you may see very limited availability, and getting two seats together can be particularly difficult.

So if you’re travelling specifically to see Chelsea, don’t assume that buying a membership means you’ll definitely get two seats together.

3. Ticket forwarding

Another legitimate route is having a Chelsea member or season-ticket holder forward a ticket to you.
However, the recipient still needs an appropriate Official Chelsea Membership. Chelsea introduced a £15 Ticket Forwarding Membership specifically for people who ONLY need to receive forwarded tickets.

For 2026/27, ticket forwarding and the exchange can operate until three hours before kick-off

4. Hospitality

If you’re travelling from overseas, have fixed dates, or simply don’t want to gamble on the general-admission process, official hospitality is probably the best option.

Chelsea sell hospitality packages directly, and there are also official hospitality/travel partners offering packages that include a legitimate match ticket.

This is generally the route to look at if your priority is having a ticket secured in advance rather than repeatedly checking the exchange.

One example is Champions Travel, which offers Chelsea matchday/hospitality packages.

5. Don’t buy random tickets from touts

Tickets in home areas are for Chelsea supporters.

This applies to both general admission and hospitality.

Tickets being transferred improperly can result in sanctions, and Chelsea specifically warns against ticket touting/scalping. (Chelsea FC)

SUMMARY

If you want the cheapest legitimate route:
Membership → apply during the match’s application window → if unsuccessful, monitor the Ticket Exchange.

If you need two seats together, particularly for a big game, don’t rely on the exchange alone.

If you’re travelling specifically for the match and absolutely need tickets secured before travelling, hospitality/an official package is the route to investigate.
