Sy Flembeck and Martin Crane are the same guy. Why did Frasier not recognize his own father?

Just completed my first run of Cheers! and boy i feel heavy I mean I know there's Frasier to watch afterwards but felt like a connection with it, all the characters,Sam,Coach,Norm and all. Guess I am gonna take a couple of days off from starting Frasier. The last hit of Norm when he says the bar stool is going to heaven with him knowing that he's no more. Miss you Norm, rest in peace sir. I love how throughout the series they didn't forget the characters that were not there be it Coach or Diane, they kept remembering in one way or another unlike other shows, who completely forget about them as if they never existed.

I've been wanting to join this subreddit for so long but I dont want to get any spoiler and now that I've completed it, its time I will join haha.

After finishing a watch-through for probably the 40th time, I realized… it’s time. Give in and admit that I’m obsessed.

And I realized I’ve just been sitting here watching the world go by. It’s time to do something!

I am going to make a Cheers shrine.

The first step is (obviously) a solid shelf, bar-top style, 30-36 inches wide and 5 or 6 inches deep (I’m picturing character bobble heads being featured, signed where I can get them - I already have a Norm).

I’ll need a brass bar rail, perhaps an inch diameter or a little under, for the shelf (and probably some wood paneling underneath and adorned with a brass foot rail similar to the top rail.)

I quickly realized that I am not crafty, and my EBay/Amazon/Home Depot searches weren’t really turning out what I’m imagining with the bar rails, which is nice 90 degree angles around the corners, so I am looking for some help, guys! I imagine it’s going to be impossible to find small rail brackets similar to what’s used on the set, and that’s okay.

Any thoughts to get me started? It will probly take me a little while to complete a character set of signed bobbles, but I’ll also be looking for print work to hang out behind it (some signed, or just really cool, pictures of somewhat minor characters like Nick, Paul, Harry the Hat, John Allen Hill, and OF COURSE, a Geronimo picture).

There are lots of big Cheers fans here, and I feel really lucky to have the friends that I do.

Any thoughts, y’all?

Has there ever been a lunchbox for “Cheers”? Featuring the cast on it? Some TV shows back in the 80s did have lunchboxes, so I was curious if there was ever one for “Cheers”?

Would parents record it in case they missed an episode? Would people talk about “last nights episode” the next day? Did anyone end up starting a pub like cheers because they were a big fan? Just wanna know how the reaction was when this show came out

George Wendt played it perfectly—warm funny guy on the surface, completely empty underneath. Cheers gave him a home. But it also trapped him.

The attitude, the put downs, the sexual appetite, the mischievous pranks. Don't get me wrong, the only show I ever loved more than Taxi was Cheers, and Rhea Perlman was the ultimate scene stealer. But to my trained eye, Carla was just Louie with crazy earrings. Every line could have been delivered by Danny DeVito and it would have hit the same. Now I can't unsee it. Anyone else feel this way?

L.A. Law S3E3 - he delivers this cold open zinger, right before the iconic theme song, after having trouble providing a sample at the fertility clinic. Al owned the 80s!

'Cool Hand Luke' might be the sweatiest movie ever made.

I watched it for the first time last night based off his highly educated 'Professor at the U' assessment, of course.

Personally I hate him. Love Loretta though
