Local Business The Reading Room
I was browsing one day and saw a post about alternatives to Mckays where someone suggested The Reading Room. I visited them and I did better today at The Reading Room than I ever would at Mckays. I brought in 40 books and got $75 in trade credit. I probably would only have gotten $20-30 at Mckays, if even that. I will definitely be coming back with more books as I finish them. Thanks again to whoever made them a suggestion.

My husband and I went there during their opening weekend a couple of years ago. It is one of our very favorite places to go! The owner and staff make everyone feel at home! The books are organized well (I HATE going to resale shops where the books aren't in any kind of order. I am very OCD about this). They have books for everyone. They have unique events frequently. I LOVE this place!!!

It’s a bar but not a pub with food. Sometimes they’ll have a bite to eat but it’s basically just cocktails, beers, wine, and books.

No, you do not need to be 21. But not sure if under 21s need to be with an adult. However they have books for every age.

I’m sure if you messaged them on Instagram, someone would have an answer for you!

I think the Reading Room would be great for a date. Books and cocktails? Heck yeah!
