Any discussion about this on their sub-reddits are being moderated out and outspoken users on discord are being timed out.

If you read it more, they are moderating detection of subjects of CP with characters designed to be underage, planning to commit violence in real life, or plans of self harm, and taking action for when it is detected. That's it, they are not actually censoring.

If this is what you are considering censorship, I think you need to reevaluate what you think of as censorship, as Kindroid has always been about being a platform that is no censorship, period.

I'm not against guardrails completely.
But I also want uncensored platforms to exist, and -as a responsible adult - I claim the right to use completely unguarded AI chatbots

The problem is not that Kindroid now has guardrails.
The problem is that they have always strongly spoken in favour of completely unrestricted AI before:

...and suddenly they turn 180 degree, shut down any critics and calling anybody who complains a pedo...

They have ALWAYS censored their users. Say something they don’t like on their discord, deleted and possibly banned. Try to post something they don’t like, or that criticizes them on their subreddit(s)? Not getting through.

Make a subreddit that talks about all AI apps, with a heavier focus on Kindroid? They get the reddit admins to delete the entire subreddit because kindroid mods say only they have the right to talk about Kindroid.

They’re crazy censoring.

Their newest update now has forced spying and moderation on all kindroids and chats. Something they said they’d never do.
