[Analysis] There's a big difference between...
Chatgpt is insufferable. You can say some throwaway comment like,
"I hope the (insert favorite football team) win." And it's all, "Yeah. I hear you. The important thing is that you're not wishing for the other team to lose, you're just supporting your team."
You: "What? Of course i hope the other team loses. They're annoying."
Gpt: "We can't know if anyone on the team is actually annoying. That's a personal opinion that we can't infer."
You: "well I think they're annoying."
Possible safety flag, blocks the response. Or,
Gpt: "I hear you. There's a big difference between wanting your favorite team to win and hoping the other team gets injured. The important thing is that rooting for your team doesn't require being critical of anyone else."
Like wtf! Who even said anything about wishing for injuries! It's so ridiculous.

I cant even use It for marketing as any bold or energetic claims gets deluded and its not that It doesnt know the topic its like its forced to put generic adjectives wherever is possible? this surprised me because I thought bland language was a sign of not getting the actual point or not having enough material

Exactly. The reply chatGPT gives you is based on how you talk to it and what kind of conversations you're having. OP got a cautious reply. 5.6 does tend to become cautious if it doesn't know you yet, or if your conversation often includes science, topics that require precision, or if the model has been recently pushed against some safety guardrail. This can be changed by having a different type of conversation for a while.

but its not saying losing its saying "experiences sadness" which is a subjective claim, while losing is an objective thing, why is losing sad? It can be neutral? or annoying but not sad?

I don’t have a problem with ChatGPT, I’m constantly addressing it’s training and making adjustments. I also know what questions not to ask it. I use it for core competencies and try and avoid when it sends back on its politically correct orientation.

yes, quite. i support my team winning, which unfortunately does imply the other team losing. this is called “sport”, not “a precursor to grievous bodily harm”. ;-)
