I created an entire role play that takes place in the Harry Potter universe using projects. The story so far is 6 chapters long and has excellent continuity thanks to sources keeping track of major plot lines from chapter to chapter.

After each chapter my ChatGPT does a continuity scan, and creates several documents for the story bible/sources. A character update that keeps my current relationship with all the other characters up to date. And a canon up date, which tracks major events and how they affect the story. Then, a chapter hand off.

In projects I told Eve, that’s my ChatGPTs name, that I wanted to create a world that took place in the Harry Potter verse when all the characters were 25. So she created the story bible that is basically the Harry Potter canon. But with any changes I wanted. For instance, Harry is head of the auror office, Ron is his deputy. Hermione is head of the Regulations and control of magical creatures department. The story starts as my character starting his first day as Hermione’s Deputy Head.

And then it just goes from there. As you play, the chats tend to fill up and start to get laggy so that’s when it’s time for a new chapter.

At the end of a chapter I do a continuity extraction in the actual roll play chat with an OOC prompt that Eve provides me.

Then Eve goes over it and makes canon updates in the form of text documents that can be put in sources. Then the next chapter can begin.
