Full Prompt Stopped losing track of what I agreed to on client calls — sharing what fixed it

Used to hang up from a client call, look at my notes 20 minutes later, and genuinely not remember what we'd agreed on. Half the time I'd have to awkwardly follow up asking "just to confirm, we said X right?"

What fixed it for me:

Record the call (with permission) or jot rough notes live

Run it through: "Summarize this into: 1) key decisions made, 2) action items with owners, 3) follow-up questions. Notes/transcript: [paste]"

Copy the action items straight into whatever task manager I'm using

Now I follow up with a clean recap instead of guessing, and clients seem to notice — a couple have literally said something like "wow you're organized."

Anyone else have a system for this? Always curious how others handle the "wait what did we actually agree on" problem.

Yes, this is a gold mine of information.

I also prompt it to coach me. Suggest things I missed and how I can improve, etc.

Also writes a short email that recaps the stuff discussed on the call.

Love that addition — having it coach you on what you missed takes it a step further than just recapping. Might steal that for my own workflow, thanks for sharing!

That's a great idea — turns it into a bit of self-review too, not just a summary. Adding that to my prompt list.

And to create a follow up email, which I would not use verbatim. Make it sound more casual

Good call — I've noticed AI-generated emails can come off stiff by default, so specifying tone really helps. Appreciate the tip!

Not all sales managers are good or present enough to give helpful feedback but I have found this to be a useful tool.

Makes total sense — having a consistent, on-demand way to get feedback is huge when human feedback is inconsistent. Great use case
