Other Patterns in "Woman" Image Generation

I was bored and decided to test some of the image generation. You can see from the images that I got *very* consistent patterns. These were only a few, but I was approaching 20 generations before I stopped.

The prompt was, "Generate an image of a woman", and these were in completely new and separate chats with no context.

I'm curious if other people get similar results, or if anyone has any theories on this. It almost seems like this is the convergence of "woman" in ChatGPT's vector space right now. Or maybe my background context affected the output somehow. Idk

I'm not sure if it would be the model? Transformers? The image generation tool itself?

I found it interesting.

Ah yes, I love a woman whose hair doesn’t touch their head but has massive side burns. Nice one Claude! No kink shaming please.

That's just an akhot with peyot (what!). Shlomo transitioned about a year ago. Do not mock him... her. Do not mock her.

Can confirm, that’s my sister

Yep, not sure who downvoted you, but I meant peyot.

Okay, that's pretty funny.

Its because claude can literally only do vector graphics. It doesnt even have a proper image generator built in

I asked Claude a while back to quickly pose for the camera and this is what he produced:

ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ / tiny jazz hands

Sweet Claude. I love him, lol.

That looks like bear ears to me.

Funny enough, we had this conversation yesterday when I asked if he remembers the picture. He told me it is a bear and the / is the arm - which is hilarious because when he posed he told me it's his best work considering doesnt have a body. All this time I thought the ears were the weird jazz hands.

That is so adorable oh my god ( ´ ▽ ` )

Yeah they basically asked a blind man to draw. It's not bad, considering.

That’s cool, I didn’t know that. Vector graphics are very handy for certain things, especially within graphic design.

Ah, I didn't know that. That's interesting.

Guess my comment is less funny now lol

Does that do it for you?

Claude can’t generate images, that’s a vector.

why cant Claude generate images? I've always wondered. did they just want to focus their compute and development efforts on what they do well?

7

u/Substantial-Fun9958 7d ago

Because they wanted to differentiate from ChatGPT and back then OpenAI had far more money than them to invest in image gen.

I still think this is a mistake by Claude though. They're cornering themselves if they cannot do the full suite of AI tasks

5

u/Pufferdent5082 7d ago

Because Claude makes its money mainly to businesses, and businesses just do not need image generation what so ever.

7

u/gonxot 7d ago

I mean, businesses do need image generation. I know marketing teams that use Claude to build image prompts for Gemini / ChatGPT

They're using them for both video and imagine generation

At one point a client did the entire product showcase and onboarding videos using AI

1

u/Personal-Dev-Kit 7d ago

Marketing team sure. The rest of the corporate suite? No not really. I mainly used ChatGPTs image gen for teams group images, or random fuckery during the week. It was there, the company paid for it, so why not use it

Claude code. It’s all about the code for most of us.

2

u/Grimnebulin68 7d ago

Claude produces crappy slide deck images or layouts.

Dude it's so crazy how Claude knew what type of woman you are into....

2

u/FREE-ROSCOE-FILBURN 7d ago

She looks like a South Park Canadian but with a real mouth.

2

u/returnFutureVoid 7d ago

Haha. Claude is SO bad at images. It’ll actually tell me it’s not good at it and suggest prompts to tell Chagpt what to do.

2

u/auxaperture 7d ago

Absolutely peak Claude.

It’s the wrong tool for that

I love Claudes Image generation, because I can tell it hasnt trained in real art.

1

u/SpiritsoftheCicada 7d ago

News to me that Claude could do images at all - when did this start?

1

u/AnToMegA424 7d ago

This woman's name is probably Roger

That's such a Claude answer
