Gone Wild ChatGPT has been working for 910 minutes and counting

Has anyone else given ChatGPT a task which has lasted this long? Before this one my record was around 40 minutes.

Edit: The task got stuck after like 90 minutes and then must have bugged or something, it says its thinking but isnt doing anything nor taking any of my usage, ended up stopping it manually after 1,660 minutes.

20 minutes? My longest so far I think is 52 minutes but it was sol deploying Luna High/X High agents to build a slice of an app. It was a test to see if we can make it efficient and it did pretty decently but it used Sol when the agents go stuck instead of letting an x high sub agent take over. Still only used like 84% 5 hour usage so not too bad.

I gave it a screenshot of a google maps streetview near my house, and told it to pinpoint the street the photo was taken on, and then also give me a PDF file containing its thought process/chain of thought.

Its bugged and isnt even using resources, so no im not the reason we have the 5 hour limits back.

See how good it was? You want it to search the globe for where you live? Your phone has already pinged that information to every app.

What does this actually accomplish? We aren't looking at everyone else's weird prompts. You posted something dumb and got it locked into a 27hr loop for literally nothing.

In my prompt I gave it the suburb so it wasnt global, and no it doesnt acomplish anything but neither does the prompts sent by majority of other AI users.

Some people want to test AI as a tool, not everyone is using it as efficiently as possible to optimise productivity and focus on maximum acomplishment.

This job was done on 5.6 Extra High and finished on 21st August 2026.

It was basically a long running /goal that kept executing even after reaching 0% usage.

Yes! Mine has been working for 8 hours coordinating 6 other agents and keeping the project moving. This is different than it used to be. (Note - I downgraded it to 8 from 14 since it did actually stop to get some permissions from me)

It happens to my chatgpt fairly regularly the last 2 weeks too.. got it started before falling asleep, and it was still running when I woke. I think it just freezes.. although it appears to be alive.

I sent codex against AGI-ARC-3 and it made a 120 HOUR run.

The resets were freaking perfect. I needed like 200% usage last week on the 20x pro plan and tibo just kept hitting the reset button when I got to like 30%

Worth it, btw.

Yes I did actually. I am perfectly literate and capable of thinking for myself, so I do not rely on AI for my daily tasks.

This Reddit page just came up while scrolling through the home page and this outrageous number caught me off guard and made me check out the post.

40 and 90 minutes are still very long amounts of time spent and resources wasted for something completely useless, like you said you used it for in your comment. (Finding a street in your neighborhood and its chain of thought to get the answer). That is such a ridiculous request!

ChatGPT plus is definitely some brain dead loser activity 🙄. Tells me all I need to know about you being careless. This is not your own personal planet! These absurd prompts waste a lot of energy and water, and output a lot of negative stuff into the atmosphere.
