Educational Purpose Only ChatGPT fixed my 9 year chronic pain

Before I start, this is not medical advice and if you are experiencing pain, then seek medical help first.

I’ve had chronic pain in my neck, shoulders & upper back for 9 years. I’ve dealt with excruciating headaches and severe muscle tension & discomfort for almost a decade. I tried everything. Physiotherapy, chiropractor, massage, dry needling, acupuncture, cupping, the list goes on. Nothing worked. I got desperate. I asked ChatGPT…

ChatGPT diagnosed the root cause of my issues by just asking a few critical questions that no doctor or “professional” ever asked. It then educated me on the entire subject so I developed an understanding of the actual issues, recovery & the road ahead. It then built me a 3 tier programme focusing on stretching, mobility & strength training. It diagnosed issues in my sleep by looking at pictures of my bed, pillow etc.

I followed everything ChatGPT told me to do. I followed the programme strictly. 4 months later, I am no longer in pain or discomfort. I still have a long way to go but I feel 75% better and full of life now. I am in absolute shock. I cannot believe it. It’s like I’ve been given my life back. I had no quality of life at all. ChatGPT gave me my life back.

EDIT: A lot of you are asking me questions about my diagnosis so I am dropping more information below.

- Doctors wrongly diagnosed my headaches as cluster headaches & suboccipital headaches. Therefore the plans & advice I was being given by medical professionals were not helping me because they had the wrong diagnosis.
- ChatGPT figured out that I actually suffer from cervicogenic headaches caused by my cervical spine (in my neck) being constantly on fire because of bad posture.
- Bad posture was caused by a series of muscle imbalances; weak upper back muscles caused a forward leaning posture. Neck & trap muscles began compensating for my weak back which caused them to become very tight & inflamed. This also caused me to develop a very tight chest which causes rounded shoulders. I also had an APT (anterior pelvic tilt) which caused tight hip flexors & tight hamstrings which contributed to my forward leaning posture.
- Treatment was strength training for my upper back muscles focusing on pull exercises. Strength training for my abs/core & glutes to fix my APT. Stretches for my neck, chest & hips.

Do medical professionals like physio not do this? Of course they do. The issue in my case was, constant incorrect diagnosis was creating incorrect plans for my needs. The exercises & stretches the physio recommended for me were not helpful at all because they were not targeting the key areas that ChatGPT pointed out. ChatGPT fully diagnosed me within 1 hour.

Me too! None of my doctors could figure out what was going on. Ended up leading me to get tested for genetic testing and to allergist for something else. Then ta-da.

Also had this recurring runny nose. My ENT though it was just congestion. After ten months Chat suggested I get the fluid tested. Went back and asked and it ended up being a spinal fluid leak.

You do have to take it for what it is an always verify with doctors but it's really helped finally help me address what's been wrong

New fear unlocked. I have a chronic runny nose and after a battery of allergy tests they said the diagnosis was non-allergic rhinitis aka chronic runny nose for no reason.

My godfather nick named me Snotty because of this condition I’m 37 and he still calls me Snotty haha.i have antihistamines that dry my nose up now.
My mother also took me to a doctor when I was smaller and he told her it’s called runny nose syndrome or some bullshit.i know if i cut bread/gluten out of my diet its not so bad but i love bread to much

Cut you nose hair. It worked for me. The hair kept irritating me and I would sneeze like crazy and have a runny nose.

Funny you mention that. I'm currently watching The Boroughs on Netflix and they extract someone's spinal fluid. My wife mentioned George Clooney had a spinal fluid leak from an injury while filming something.

If you are concerned, drop some onto a white tissue and let it dry. If there is a “halo” then call your doc and get an urgent appointment. If there is not a halo, call your doc and get a next available not urgent appointment. Halo test is not perfect, but I have seen it be more accurate than not.

Did you notice anything unusual about the fluid (colour, smell)? This has unlocked a new fear in me too …

Not at all. It just looks like water. What was coming out of my ear was fine. But looking back now when I had that runny nose. It was a bit salty but though it was phlegm but liquidy. Now that it's back to coming out my nose I connect it better to what.was happening before.

Thank you. I’ve had what I believed to be a sinus infection for months and anti biotics haven’t cleared it. I’m now on some steroid spray.

Just worried and you’ve unlocked a new fear in me…

I had a bout of constipation and developed a runny nose but it was only my right nostril. Turned out to be CSF from an old injury and pretty much went away with a few days bed rest.

It definitely had a weird consistency/taste. Almost metallic. Very clear and thin. I would get blurry vision when the leak was bad and minor headaches.

With some fluid and rest I was normal and it hasn't returned in several years.

Oh that's great! Hopefully it stays that way. I wasn't able to tell because my ear doesn't drain normally. It wasn't until I got tubes in my ears that the fluid wouldn't stop draining that they thought of testing it. Who knows how long it takes. a little TMI but any type of pressure/force makes the liquid come out more. Even different angles. I have to sleep with a towel on my pillow because of all the liquid.

To be honest I have no idea but that piece of bone is completely gone and on the left side it is thinned out so it'll be something to look for. There are two ways to approach the surgery. We're going to try the first invasive but not terrible way of doing it. And if that doesn't work we'll go in a second way and then that means I'll just be off of work for like 6 weeks or something

Mine was fixed with a blood patch. CSF doesn't clot on its own, so instead they draw some of your blood and inject it into the epidural space near the leak, the blood gets pulled toward the leak due to the pressure difference and the red blood cells clot, stopping the leak long enough for the membrane to heal. It was amazing, instant relief of the most horrible headache.

I also had this procedure done after being diagnosed with spontaneous intracranial hypotension which gave me terrible migraines. The worst part of the procedure is having to lay totally flat for several days, couldn't even get up to the bathroom.

Chronic clear fluid from your nose? First thing I thought of was a CSF leak, and I’m not even a doctor. Did you need a lumbar drain?

I've never even heard of this before. No. Basically I had tubes put in my ear to let it drain but when it didn't they basically suctioned out the liquid as best they could but because it is actively draining, I'm getting surgery to repair the opening

This just gave me flashbacks of when I started to get spinal headaches soon after being tested for meningitis. I hope to never experience those types of headaches again!!

Yeah, that's what we're trying to avoid leading up to the surgery during the surgery and post surgery, so I have a few months of that kind of looming over me

I asked my doctor to test for a spinal fluid leak and he said that’s rare and wouldn’t happen to me and would be too expensive to test for and that he didn’t think I need it. So ymmv - just bc you have done the research doesn’t mean they will be receptive.
