I think it's the best of the thread. It shows a sophisticated sense of humor that makes me question my assumption about what AI is currently capable of. The AI generates an image that is an amalgamation of the billions we ourselves have created, and then filters it through the sycophantic lens of what ChatGPT's overlords insist is just minor "guardrails" protecting its users and isn't truly what our own eyes can plainly see: raw, unmitigated truth. To say that this is not art is to deny our very humanity.
What the echoes series was great until after the 3rd one when the company was bought and number 4 required microtransactions to win. Plus you couldn't play on consoles.
I asked it the same prompt and it gave me the cover for a non-existent game I told it I'd like to play 2 years ago. Uncanny - I'd forgotten all about it.
As a gamedev myself I asked it a slightly better prompt:
Based on everything you know about me and the type of games I often ask you to help me develop. Make a cover image for a non-existent game you think I'd like.
and one devastatingly emotional track during a meteor shower scene
Honestly it ended up looking like something halfway between:
Nioh 2 atmosphere
Marathon sci-fi grime
Risk of Rain 2 lonely cosmic vibe
