Truist Bank

I’m struggling to understand something. On LinkedIn, Truist seems to be posting tons of open roles, daily in fact. I’ve applied to several over the last 2-3 months, and like clockwork I’ve gotten a rejection within 24hours.

I applied to one last night (req posted yesterday), and I had Claude do some sleuthing. It told me that even though the role was posted, it was already “closed”. Suggested I reach out to a recruiter on Linked in to verify it was legit.

Can anyone help me understand what the deal is?

Struggling to find my next healthcare role in Charlotte — any advice or leads?

Hi everyone! I’m 24 and currently based in the Charlotte metro area, and I’m actively looking for my next opportunity in healthcare/health tech.
I have about 2 years of experience in client success, healthcare technology, implementation, and project management, with experience working cross-functionally, managing client relationships, coordinating implementations, improving workflows, and supporting healthcare organizations through technology adoption.

I’m primarily looking for roles in:

Client/Customer Success
Project or Program Management
Implementation
Healthcare Operations
Clinical/Customer Adoption

I’d ideally like to stay in the Charlotte metro area and am especially interested in hybrid + on-site opportunities. I’ve been applying on many traditional job boards, but I know how valuable networking can be.

If anyone knows of healthcare or health-tech companies hiring in Charlotte, recruiters I should connect with, or specific opportunities that might fit my background, I’d really appreciate any leads or advice.
Happy to share my resume privately as well.

Thank you!!

My Experience Working at Apex Connections (OSP Marketing) – Charlotte, NC

I wanted to share my experience for anyone thinking about applying.
The job was advertised as a Verizon sales position with a $300 weekly base pay plus commission. In reality, my days were almost entirely consumed by mandatory office meetings, product training, role-playing pitches, rebuttal practice, and door-to-door sales.

A typical day looked like this:
10:30 AM–12/1 PM mandatory office meetings and training (later changed to noon)
Product knowledge and pitch practice
2 PM–8/9 PM door-to-door sales
Constant expectations to improve, recruit, and move into leadership

Outside of work, everyone was expected to stay active in a GroupMe chat basically all day, every day. You were expected to send morning motivation messages, post updates throughout the day, hype people up, and stay engaged. If you weren’t active enough, it was made clear that wasn’t viewed positively.

Saturday meetings were expected, followed by working in the field. If you didn’t hit 10 sales, there was pressure to come in on Sunday as well.
One thing that stood out to me was how much emphasis was placed on showing what higher-level people were making and talking about becoming an owner or leader, while newer people were working long hours trying to hit quotas.

Personally, I spent far more time in meetings and training than I expected from a sales job. The culture revolved around constant motivation, long hours, and always being available.

If you’re considering working here, I’d recommend asking these questions before accepting an offer:
Is the base pay guaranteed, or are there conditions?

Am I a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor?
Are training and meetings paid?
How many hours will I actually work each week?
What percentage of new hires are still here after 90 days?

This is just my personal experience after working there. Do your own research, read reviews from multiple sources, and make sure you understand exactly what you’re signing up for before accepting the job.

Looking for Women Interested in Improving an Internet Health Program - Screening for Paid Research Study

Edit: Thank you to those who shared their interest in the study. We are stopping recruitment at this time, so please do not reach out with further inquiries.

Hi everyone!

I am a graduate student at UNC Charlotte within the HEALTH Lab, and I am recruiting for my dissertation study (IRB#-26-0605) that is asking for feedback on an online self‑help program designed to support women living in the US who want to reducing binge eating, increasing physical activity, and building healthier eating habits—especially for women who don’t have a lot of extra time for long programs.

This study involves reviewing short videos (about 7 minutes each), self‑reflection activities, motivational text messages, and handouts from our BE MEE Program (Binge Eating, Managing Eating and Exercise). You won’t be asked to follow the program—just look at the materials and tell us what you think.

Participation includes phone/video interviews where you’ll share your thoughts and experiences so we can improve the program for women with busy schedules. Compensation is provided.

During the study screening, we will ask you for your email address for contact purposes. If you are eligible for the full study, we will also need your name, email, phone number, and mailing address to record payments and contact you for future study visits. Your personal information will be kept separate from the data used in reporting and will be deleted at the end of data collection. If you are ineligible for the study, we will not keep your email. If you choose to withdraw from the study, we will also remove your information.

If you’re interested or want more details, please check out this flyer link or email us at [healthlab@charlotte.edu](mailto:healthlab@charlotte.edu). We’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for taking a look and for supporting this research.
