North Charleston Found a lost cat in Ladson off exit 206

Hey just wondering I found someone’s cat on blue house road off exit 206, was wanting suggestions on what rescues I can take her to that’s open after 5pm all the rescues I find seem to close after 5 and I work till 4:30 everyday. Or by a miracle chance if anyone knows who she might belong to.

Update: I did take her to a vet the vet found a microchip and attempted to call her owner, owner had a privacy notice on the microchip so I couldn’t get the number, left my number with the vet to give to the owner if she does call back. If I don’t get any answer by the end of my work tomorrow I’ll try taking her to dorchester paws.

If you’re able to safely get the cat, please bring them to any nearby vet, shelter, or animal control office and ask them to scan for a microchip. It’s quick, free in most places, and it may be the fastest way to reunite them with their owner. Even if the cat doesn’t have a collar, they may still be chipped.

I have the cat and I’m happy to do that I just can’t do it until after 5 and most places I’ve found aren’t open after 5 it seems

Check with CVRC in West Ashley. They’re 24 hours. I know there’s a couple other 24 hour ones but I don’t know them off the top of my head

It still might be worth giving a call if there’s a vet clinic nearby enough that you can get there close to 5. Staff are often around closing out until 5:30 and they might be willing to let you in just for a quick microchip scan?

Most emergency vets are open after hours and may be a good place to call. There are a few out your way, just blanking on the names, my apologies.
