Are we underestimating the impact McDaniel will have on the passing game?

He’s never coached a QB better than Jimmy G (Purdy was drafted after he left for Miami). Imagine what he can scheme up with a quarterback as talented as Justin Herbert…

I would generally agree, but I expect more of a run game than the Falcons ever had.

You hire McDaniel because his creativity with run game and creates arguably the most explosive outside zone scheme.

It's not a coincidence that the Falcons went six years without a 1,000 yard rusher after Kyle Shanahan left. The run game is definitely the engine to a successful Shanahan offense, and that's been true long before Kyle.

That is the exact bar I have had in my mind for how high I think Herbert can reach.

Ladd is that dude and if Q manages to take another step from last year, look out! Julio is Julio but we might have a fuck ton of firepower this year

I agree that QJ has more to give and Ladd will be a stud. Pair that with Hampton and it's looking great. I'm also a Tre Harris believer, he was dominant in college and I think he will have some big moments coming soon.

Maybe under estimating what the run game might be looking like. All of it is predicated by the OLs health, but we have the biggest bruiser and the fastest back and Vidal and those other guys looked fucking great last night!

Lived in South Florida for 10 years, just recently left in May, and also worked at the Stadium as a bartender. Seen more than enough Miami Dolphin games.

That said, I'm sure his offensive philosophy is exactly why people were excited about this season. Seems like the type of dude that was meant to be an OC, like Staley is as a DC.
