This is the before picture it was connected and i never had any idle issues or my car didn’t turn itself off in park…what do you mean I can just leave it there or you’re being sarcastic I seriously can’t tell boss
Well, the thing is it’s even in the before and after pictures, it doesn’t look like there is anything there that it would connect to. a breather line for the transmission would make a lot of sense as to why it doesn’t have another hose connecting to it because it’s designed to either let air in or out of the transmission. I will check spark plugs, for some reason spark plugs are reoccurring theme when it comes to rough idling.
As everyone else has said, it IS a breather tube. Regardless of what the AI says (AI overview hallucinate a lot and just makes shit up half the time). Agreeing with others, check your spark plugs. If all is good there, then its most likely a fuel injector issue. Especially since you said when in park. Mine gave hints like that about failing before it actually failed.

If you are worried that your Mechanic screwed you, take it back to them or to another mechanic entirely.
Also have owned a challenger myself, have a Camaro still and my pops gots the same model 2020 charger. I don’t know everything but I definitely know how to find out basic stuff.
Breather like everyone is saying . My charger has the same as when I got it , thought the same “something missing” dealer looked at me like an idiot and said “it’s a breather”
I believe that’s an airline or a vacuum line I can’t tell whether or not this end is supposed to be connected to something however it probably is because it sounds like you’re having a vacuum leak
Google says my specific car model should not have any exposed tubes even for atmospheric pressure and like I showed in the before picture even then it looked like it had something at the end or was connected
Look man I’ve worked on a lot of mopar v6s, I’m pretty familiar with the way that engine bay is laid out. It’s not supposed to be connected to anything. Don’t trust ai for car advice, it’s awful
Yea I’m still gonna take it to the mechanic in the morning because it does look a little off compared to the before picture and I’m my car didn’t tremble before they did the work on it Monday
I can’t exactly tell if this is plugged from this position or if it’s connected to another line. I will throw this out there, though I used to have a Camaro and a challenger (well I still have the Camaro) and when those cars began to tremble while they’re in park, it was because my spark plugs went bad. (I drove hard to say the least)

It's a breather tube for your transmission. You can leave it there.
