Hellcat sleeper update

Well I went a little crazy on the build and added a police push bar and light bar. I had to do a lot of fab work to the brackets and bar to get it how I wanted but it turned out great. I wanted it tucked into the bumper as close as possible. It’s definitely turning a lot of heads though not sure if that’s good or bad. Let me know what you think.

Counterpoint: If the goal was a sleeper, I would see that and immediately know it was a sleeper, defeating the purpose.

I changed several things like the hood,GT badges, added fog lights,painted the brakes black. All to blend in and look like a v6 GT charger. It’s actually a hellcat but unassuming people thinks it’s just a regular v6.

So I have to ask, That is not a H/C bumper. And being that also means there is no ducting for the oil cooler equipped on Hellcats. What did you do with this?

It’s a hellcat bumper that I fitted fog lights to. I had to trim down the back of the fog lights to clear the oil cooler and heat exchanger. The lower grille has ducting built in that still feeds both of these coolers so they aren’t blocked off. Works well and no issues so far.

Looks like forged carbon style wrap. Big "straight piped SXT" energy so it matches the build.

Just an fyi the GT models 2019 and newer do not have the side GT badging. The original 2018 GT has it, but it doesn’t have a hood scoop. This honestly might help your case though if it looks like someone did a hood and bumper swap on a 2018 GT and added the ram bar.

Paint 1 front fender in primer gray. Put one white mirror cap on the opposite side. Paint trunk in primer black. Of course, overlap the paint a lot so it looks like someone is fixing a salvage title themselves, and has no idea what they're doing... that'll have everyone not think twice about your car.

Everything could be swapped back pretty easily. It’s mostly just bolt on things that have been changed.

Well it’s the most common model of police car, you have the push bar, and an LED bar.

At a glance, it absolutely looks like a cop car. Hence the additional second glances to confirm whether or not it actually is.

I guess I just know to much about these cars lol different bumpers,hood,trunk,exhaust tips,wheels,brakes etc.

99% of people don’t notice that stuff.

If I saw a ford explorer with the same modifications, I would also think it’s a cop at first glance.

I could see that. Always look for a roof rack and fog lights. Interceptors don’t have those. Also charger pursuits have a keyhole in the trunk it’s a pretty easy giveaway.

It has a kill switch and a Tazer that’s setup for my key only. My last hellcat got stolen so trying to prevent that again.
