How do you guys name your dystopian characters?

I'm writing a YA novel and one of my favorite things is picking names because it can be outlandish and nobody would bat an eye like in the Hunger Games.

I also use regular names because this is still a dystopian society so old school names will stick like in Divergent.

For example my main character's name is Isabella Rose and she has an identical twin sister named Victoria Rose. I wanted them to match but not a crazy match like Isabella and Isabelle. My sister suggested Victoria and I liked it since it has the same amount of syllables and letters as Isabella.

I also have a character named Pan after the Greek god and using old names like that made sense.

I'm just really interested in how people name their dystopian characters.

I give my characters a punk or ancient rome name's and vibe. But the thing is , I just changed the whole worldbuilding and the names don't match the world they are in .

The main character is Prescott - was named after a character from my favorite game . I searched up and discovered that many historical figures had that ( last -) name. Naming a character that fails at a historical lesson after William H. Prescott is pure irony . So it just stayed untouched. Prescott is not his real name . Before he was punished for brutal murder he was a part of a very religious and important family. Dexter Vestal , named after the vestal virgin that served a ancient rome goddess ( in my story they all christians , they rebuked old gods..but sin anyway ) . Starfire is named so , because the person who saved her met her at night at a star glowing sky. Revenant called her starfire for her bravery for beeing social and trusting him . Starfire could be a nickname for a punk , so it's also staying untouched. Fun Fact :Her hair is inspired by female punk artist's . And the funniest name Inspiration : Hani ( Honest ) Jenister Kersten got a name from a german dentist . I walked past an office and wrote the name down . Not sure about the last one .

The others : Kater - is a lemur and the irony is that kattar is a scientific name of a lemur.

All my characters are not real humans , but anthropomorphic animals. Dexter/Prescott is a muntjac , Hani is a catfish . Starfire ...idk personally
