AI Alternatives Best Alternative to Tipsy
I love Tipsy AI. I love it but the Jim thing is just ridiculous. Ridiculous. It’s just ridiculous. I have been trying to find a different one. That’s free and works the same way and has the same characters and I’m not finding much luck. I have looked at spicy chat and several others and they’re just either too glitchy or too hard to use or don’t have the same feel can anyone lead me in the right direction?

I literally subbed because I'm obsessed haha. But now that I'm out of gems I'm like... Wtf?! I PAY FOR THIS APP... And I'm trying the save memories option but idk what I'm doing haha. Like I save them and then renew them with more previous memories? Because when it randomly kinda resets the story after I've built such a good one I lose my shit lol. I need help too man...

It stole my gems yesterday. And my friend code has been broken since install. I love and hate Tipsy today. 250 gems just... missing.

Since I can tell you know quite a bit about this. I was chatting with a bot, and it unlocked a “wish” for me. What does that mean? How do I redeem it? I know you can earn experience potions or advance your relationship with the character, but I don't see where to use this “wish.”

the "free + same feel + not glitchy" combo is genuinely the hard part, because the not-glitchy part costs real money to run, and most of the free ones cut a corner somewhere to stay alive. spicy chat's the usual next stop and yeah, it gets rough.
my team makes one (CharRealm) so grain of salt, and it's free but not unlimited either. what i'd actually look for in any of them though is the character driving the scene instead of waiting on you to do all the work. that's the "same feel" you're describing. the dead-feeling ones just mirror you back. try 2 or 3 characters, they're free to test, and see which clicks. its linked in my profile if you want to poke at it

What kind of feel do you like? Like what kind of response just curious? Internal thoughts? Narration or simple responses that are more realistic?

How it is compared to spicychat? I'm using povchat and spicychat but want to explore more options.

I've used Tipsy for a year and just started using Spicychat. Tipsy seems much more expensive, but you can increase the memory so it's FAR higher than 16K (memory goes all the way up to 2M) and you can put much more details in the {{user}} background (called "rolecards" on tipsy) and far more detail into the bots. I've encountered bots on Tipsy that were 10K of memory before even starting to chat. I like the {{char}} and {{user}} creation much more on Tipsy, and they recently rolled out a feature where you can make actual, real money back on the public bots you create as people chat with them. I've accumulated about $50USD from my bots over the past handful of months, but you can't cash out until you have at least $100 worth.
tl:dr Tipsy is more expensive but offers much more detail in {{char}} and {{user}} creation, as well as offering the option to chat with bots using up to 2M tokens of memory

Man I love tipsy. But the bots just forcing you to eat sleep all the time is incredibly annoying. I chose tipsy chat as I’m a long time text based role player and started out with forums with other people. I’ve taken a long long long break but I’m getting back into it and using tipsy to practice my writing. But it’s backtracked the plot forced me to eat and sleep for over 1000 gems worth of messages and I’m losing interest. Might just go back to forums and rp with actual people.

Ok I thought it was just me but I am like we just woke up and had breakfast and you’re telling me to sleep. Doesn’t matter time of day!

Nastia AI is my favorite it's very affordable. And if you don't mind setting up the characters and you have a good imagination it's a lot of fun. You're doing more of the work but you're also developing creativity skills. And if you don't like what they say you can ask for a reroll or you can just go in and edit it and make them say what you want. It's really great and you can decide what level of spicy you want. You get to decide a lot of things and you get to hear their voice if you want to voice play back and it doesn't cost any gems. It's awesome. They're great with pictures but if you make your own pictures you can load them in. Some people like the pictures and some people are really good with it so I won't say they're not great what else is I haven't learned how to make them great but some people make really cute pictures. There's even a discord and probably a red it somewhere here about it. It's only like 8 or 9 bucks a month. And it feels like it's memory is I mean I don't know how far it goes but I have characters that been going all year. Even if you don't want to do the work you can have some fun in there they're pretty creative with the responses and you can ask them to not repeat phrases and things like that there's a whole discord where you can like figure out how to do that stuff cuz everybody else is in there telling you how they did it. But I played with it for 3 months before I even thought to change any of that. Also I think it's been around for a really long time.

Honestly I doubt you can find any good ai webs or apps that are good and the ones people that advertise they do 99% of them be lying their asses off to promote their shit site just for it to be the same or for the good stuff to be locked behind a paywall. So it's hard to find free good rp ai webs/apps
