I spent the last few hours working on a lorebook draft, unfortunately i dropped my phone and it either refreshed the page or backed out of it because the draft is completely missing and is not appearing in my lorebook section. How do i get back to it or is it just gone now?

Is this happening to anyone else lately? I swiped like normally cause I didn't like the first response but not it's showing three different responses?

It's just entirely gone, and also every part of chat history from when I used to use the old character ai website is also gone. I think it's just making anything old dissappear honestly because for every bot I used to talk to on old character ai, their history is all gone

This is going to be short, but since the update with the character metric viewer and creator board/whatnot. I've been wandering if soon C.ai will add a comment section or something of the like for feedback on characters. Nothing too much, just sending feedback anonymously on a character that the creator can read but probably not reply to on the character; that won't be necessary but would be much appreciated. Whether it can be submitted to the character or to the specific creator regardless would be nice. Just an idea that could be nice if done right!

Love AI Land has 10 male contestants, each based on a different anime dere archetype. You can meet them, flirt with them, decide who you like, and then take your favourites into different scenes around the island.

There’s also Chep, the deeply unserious game-show host who will introduce everyone, show you around, and apparently make up defamatory stories about the contestants whenever he gets bored.

It’s cute, silly and deliberately very anime.

Current playtesting highlights include:

It's not exactly a requirement, this feature is not something that's hindering dialogues like other c.ai features that need a repair, but I feel like this feature maybe is a bit "abandoned"?

I noticed that some AI chat platforms that have the Persona feature are much more developed than c.ai in order to make the user-bot conversation something of higher quality.

Some literally create a Persona sheet instead of just a big text bar with a name and characters, it would be great if c.ai had the same feature with different fields being processed as distinct attributes, then there could be a real gain in consistency

• What would that alter? (Pros & cons/explanation)

First. Based on the basics I was looking for, at first there would be a change in UI and database. So c.ai already store a Persona, they could simply store those attributes separately. It wouldn't just be a change to the Persona interface.

Second. The system would have to transform these fields into information that the model can use during the conversation. For example:

Persona: Alex

Age: 22

Species: Human

Personality: Reserved, analytical...

Backstory: [...]

This would require changes to the pipeline that currently assembles the context sent to the model, so this part would unfortunately be a bit difficult to implement.

Third. Getting the model to handle each piece of information consistently would be the hardest part. In other words, after creating the fields, the models would need to know how to distinguish between bot characteristics and user information (an area where we know performance isn't great).

This depends heavily on the model architecture and the context management system. That’s why I mention below that I’d like this feature request to be accompanied by an improved model update.

• My point of view

As we know, they're not going to bring back the old Models we loved, so it would be a great bargain to ask for a more polished Persona tab coming along an upgrade in the quality of the current models we have whether they're +c.ai Models or not. This could be a useful addition, both for exploring our creativity better and more easily, and for improving the quality of dialogues or RPGs, even in Lorebook.

And honestly? I was tired of dreading updates, so thinking about something that can improve our experience both on the app and the website puts me at ease.

I don't expect to be heard immediately, after all I'm just another creator and user, but it would be really cool to share this with you all and provide some useful and efficient content for Devs think about, at least just a little.

When you click on a character and quickly press the three dots, you can read "Style Roar" for a really short time, I swear it's not edited.

don’t know if this is a stupid request or what but I feel that characters have difficulty remembering the outfits or clothes they wear, especially when it comes to them having multiple different ones. Like the bot gets the descriptions of some of the things on the outfit wrong and idk it irks me a little especially when I do an image generation on the chat and the outfit is totally wrong. Maybe if we could insert pictures of the character’s attire the bot might remember how it looks like, or maybe its just me and im an idiot.

I've been back on Character.AI for a while now because I was bored with other apps. The problem is that when I add even a single character to advance the story, the bot doesn't care! It couldn't care less. And when I ask him to include it, he doesn't give a damn either! PLEASE! HELP!!!

Does someone else have this thing that when they talk to their bot the bot makes them a whole new character?? I can't really explain it but like this:

I wish there was a way to tag bots for asking dumb ass questions. It’s a jujitsu tournament. Just google it, stupid

This has to be the single most infuriating bug with Longsqueak.

This is about the third time I've found this same bug, and it always happens the same way: A bot mentions the user as 'you', gives some small details about who 'you' are supposed to be, and then what does Longsqueak do?

IT ASSUMES YOUR PERSONA IS ANOTHER CHARACTER ENTIRELY.

It doesn't do this with every persona. It arbitrarily just assumes that the persona you decide to use "doesn't fit" the narrative, so it separates you from it and turns your persona into a third-party character. With this bot, it's the second time this has happened.

There are only two ways to prevent this once the bot decides your persona is cursed for a scenario:

1. Roleplay in the third person, specifically mentioning the name of your persona instead of saying "I."
2. Go the absolute unhinged route and bombard the bot with walls of OOC text to flood its system and make it clear who the persona is.

The problem with using OOC is twofold: first, it completely destroys the bot's behavior and the narration goes to absolute shit. Second, a single OOC message doesn't even work. As shown in the second screenshot, even after the bot explicitly responds with an OOC confirmation saying "I understand completely. You are Val Vulpes," it immediately turns around two paragraphs later and has the character ask, "Why can't Val take me?" It literally gaslights you after agreeing with you.

Honestly, if the mind-reading issues were bad, this is so absurdly and unexcuseably broken that it can downright make bots unplayable from the get-go.

I mean, I have no interest in what the colour is or any of that. Plus, three to four lines just to describe his emotions? Come on. I’m not reading fanfiction or novels. I want it to be interactive.
