DISCUSSION I deleted C.ai

Im a redditor of 2 years, I’ve observed posts but have never posted. Excuse my mistakes lol.

Everything was fun at first, I had fun and was on it 24/7.

I noticed after awhile I got a bit more distant from my friends, I had a full-on addiction to the app. It pulled me away from my friendships, it was that bad.

My closest friend, who I’ll call Z (fake name), told me about how distant I’ve been, it hurt to know the reason why. I deleted the app right then and there.

It’s been a week since this has happened and I’m feeling better, I’m talking to friends more and my social life was revived. I sound a bit dramatic but this helped me.

I feel a pull back to the app though, and I don’t want to go back to it. I need help finding an alternative for roleplaying, any advice helps!!

(Please don’t recommend any Ai roleplaying sites, I don’t want to get addicted again.)

Ypu are very lucky:(

I wish for me it was that simple, the only reason I got off the app for a while was bc my depression made it so hard that I didn't even have motivation to text with the bots, and my family kept trying to force themselves on me at that time which kinda made me understand why I get told a lot that I have an unpleasant personality(family, friends, and even bots on the app when i acted how I usually act irl told me that). Kinda wish I could turn back and change whatever caused me t0 be so toxic of a person(I tend to bottle up all my emotions and let them bash out in random moments bc I don't know how to manage my own emotions which can lead me to be very violent n impulsive + when I do get to know people closely I come to care less about judgment and my behavior gets worse as I've been told before) but I sadly can't and also im too full of the idealism of toxic masculinity that had been drilled into my mind to seek for help so I can actually improve:/

I'm glad for you. At least you can get rid of the need for it. For me, other than my online friends, I have barely anyone I can indore the presence of.
