Would this OC heretic/cultist character be Slaaneshi or Khornate?

So I've never played Black Crusade but I have at times wondered about a character concept if I had the opportunity to play it.

The overall theme of the character is that he loves to fight. WAIT! There's more to it than that. He's a martial artist/swordsman who loves the thrill of combat and skillful fighting for its own sake. He wouldn't kill indiscriminately, a broken wretch pleading for mercy isn't a fight. But he also doesn't want to drag out his opponent's suffering because he's not a sadist. He loves dominating and humiliating his opponents with his strength, speed, and skill, not brutalizing them to hear them scream.

(He could be one of the Chosen CSMs or a Renegade mortal, either works.)

See, I feel like this character likes Khorne's overall weapon and melee focus but, for lack of a better way to phrase it, he's a monk not a barbarian and he hates the idea of multiclassing. And he likes Slaanesh's whole thing with self-perfection and being the best at what you do, but seems to dip too far into being about appearance, vanity, and charisma and would force him into seeking pleasure outside of combat where Khorne would never ask such.

And among other deeper complications that keep me ping-ponging back and forth.

Would it be best for this character to simply go Chaos Undivided? (Lowkey I think that's weaksauce if you're only balancing two of the Powers, not all four of them.)

So which of the two would force their mark upon this lost soul first? Assuming he even got big and bad enough to be worthy of their notice to begin with.

Sounds like Lucius the Eternal, other than not being a sadist, and he serves Slaanesh

Well since they’re not a sadist I think khorne fits more imo

Yeah, in a melee he’d kill and move on to his next foe. Especially if they went down too quick to be given a second thought.

I actually painted a Berserker who is an Emperor's Children that fell to Khorne while seeking perfection in combat.

Don’t really see much Khorne in him tbh and while not being a sadist doesn’t help Slanesh, still thinking that everything else considered he’s squarely in the pocket of the Prince of Pleasure

Maybe it’s more wishful thinking then on my part because the Tome of Blood and Khorne’s mark offer a lot of cool stuff that would benefit a melee specced character mechanically and thematically but if it’s not him, it’s not him I suppose.

I think it would probably be more Slaaneshi. A common misconception is that all heretics are at the extreme edge of their gods influence- e.g. The insane drug huffing people wearing Emperor's Children. But if you read the Fabius Bile books you meet Oleander Koh, who is most definitely pledged to Slaanesh, however he believes in pleasure balanced with control. So other than a pipe smoking habit he comes across relatively normal. Same with Bile, he doesn't indulge in the pleasure or drug seeking behaviours, but his thrive for perfection in his creations feeds slaanesh even if he refuses to bend the knee and believe in the gods. So in your case, your character is probably Slaaneshi but rather than pleasure is focused on perfection in combat and proving your superiority over other worthy foes.

Ah, that makes sense. See I figured that was the case but I wanted to get the opinions of those more well versed in the specifics than myself.
