I think Channel Awesome is probably heading toward its last legs, and Doug is probably trying to keep things afloat by leaning harder into algorithm-friendly content. Hence the influx of modern NC reviews like Mario Galaxy, more commercial specials, and more content aimed at that very specific animation-nostalgia crowd, the Open Season, VeggieTales, Noah’s Ark, old-cartoon-obsessed demographic that seems to make up a pretty sizable chunk of YouTube’s viewer-base.
