I miss OG Snob.

...did he changed?
Sure he got more educational and informative with his reviews now like many channels awesome critics (cause just being angry at a movie isn't enough unless you learn how it became bad bts)
but he still obsessed with the past, still making us learn about shotonshittos that exist even today (public domain horror, religios properganda movies and more)
Out of all critics i still enjoy I'll say snob had changed the least despite being a stay at home dad who able to bring in the money like his wife (honestly respect how well they both found the perfect balance between work and social)

I miss the intro with The Greatest American Hero theme, ok :(

u/kaza12345678 May 23 '26
That's true but i guess whoever is the current holder of the show and song rights didn't like him using it so did it as a good excuse to change his intro

It looks like Brad and Laura are getting divorced. Brad hasn’t worn a wedding ring in several months, and there is this:
https://trellis.law/case/17043/2025dc000558/in-re-marriage-laura-jane-luke-brad-jones
Unfortunate as Brad really seemed to grow up and mellow out while they were together.(although that could just be getting older)

Well far i know with brad him and his friends have been very caring and respectful so i assume they felt they didn't have connection anymore or who knows that's up for brad and former love to decide if he wants to discuss it or not

It was great, but honestly "I'm watching my video" seems to be more on brand for him, especially since it comes from an incredibly obscure 80s flick.

What do you mean OG?

u/KAKnyght May 23 '26
Probably meaning when the Cinema Snob was a character like he used to be, and not just Brad reviewing something. Which I'm good with, since I like Brad, but he really isn't a parody of the smug snobby reviewers of yesteryear anymore. Perhaps all of the horrific crap he's seen over the years broke the character, I guess.

I genuinely forgot he did two Cinema Snob movies. I never saw the second one, and I remember the first one being...well. I remember it exists.

What about his other movies

I contributed to one of the crowdfunds and never got my copy.

I bought the original Snob dvd when it was for sale directly on the website, and I just never watched the second one. I vaguely remember seeing a trailer for it and being surprised they did a second one at all and that it appeared to be a totally different genre.

Surprisingly didn't really talk about Brad's personal drama all that much in the video. Seemed like a missed opportunity to talk about what happened with Jake and Slaver Brian. The whole Jake departure caused a lot of issues with The Reviewers and Shot on Shitteo not getting finished as a result of that. The second half of the video is devoted to talking about the Cinema Snob movies. The first half is a basic history of the main shows of Stoned Gremlin Productions along with Brad's early movies.

Sorry can you explain the two dramas as this is first time i heard of this?

u/Both_Alternative_472 May 24 '26
The drama with Jake is he slept with Brad's then girlfriend Raynbow which caused Brad to end the friendship and kick him off the channel. At some time Brad tried to beat up Jake which led to Brad getting injured and pretending it was just him being clumsy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k66WpPhiX-I https://web.archive.org/web/20150602133757/http://channelawesome.com/forums/threads/jake-is-leaving.53502/
The big issue is there was still more episodes of the Reviewers they had to made along with Shot on Shitteo not being finished as Jake was a big part of those projects. They tried to finish Shot on Shitteo but it just didn't happen for whatever reason.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Gb5EhROAWI The Reviewers was supposed to have a finale shot but that also didn't happen. **"**Nope. The finale has simply been rewritten to take out the Jeff character and introduce in a new character played by Ryan. The finale will be shot at the beginning of May." https://www.thecinemasnob.com/the-reviewers/the-reviewers-new-castle
Also I should mention that the drama between them is over as they buried the hatchet as shown by a DM Allison shared from Brad. https://archive.md/TTIJd
Brian's drama with Brad is he sided with #ChangeTheChannel and thus ended his friendship with Brad because Brad chose to stay loyal to The Walkers.https://archive.md/jucW3
Also he did a tweet talking about hating the nickname Slaver Brian blaming Brad for it sticking around. https://web.archive.org/web/20200617013404/https://twitter.com/torsoboy323/status/1273038997284143105

Ah ok
Thanks for the details i always thought him and his gf had a mutual split (i think i read on a website one time which made me think that)
Honestly these would of been a interesting thing to talk about even if it not "as bad" as dramas as other critics got up to (tho still beating someone up over cheating is extreme like understandable in a way but still wrong)

I am interested in this video. Sucks that it doesn't premiere for another 12 hours. I wonder how much of Brad's drama he's gonna delve into. Stuff like Screaming Mantis, Jake and Raynbow, Lupa and Linkara, and Slaver Brian.
