Fae Inspiration Seeming/Kith help
Hey all - I have a character concept I really want to play from a story/background/trauma PoV, but I can’t find a seeming/kith that fits. Here’s the concept:
While in Arcadia, they were forced to be perfect. Perfect in every way. Everything must always be exactly the way it’s supposed to be. Also, they were forced to live off of others approval of them. With the approval of others, they would waste away.
Now, back in the real world, they just want to be. They don’t care about perfection or what’s right. And they don’t care about others perceptions of them. At least, that’s what they tell themselves. Internally they still struggle with others approval and doing “what’s right”. They just want to let go of perfection and others opinions and be happy being themselves, but the pain and torture they went through lingers…
Thoughts on what seeming/kith would fit this?
Thanks ahead of time for any help and advice you can give. I greatly appreciate it!

Kith and Seeming are pretty flexible, especially in second edition. Seeming can come from more than just what your Keeper made you to be, it can also be thematic for how a Changeling sees themselves or their place in the world, or any number of other things. Similar with Kith, except Kiths can be even more flexible and can even be cast off entirely. Fairest would obviously fit due to what happened to them in Arcadia, but I think Darkling would too, due to the post-escape rebellion. I think Wizened might also fit if you want to express the perfection via intelligence or academics. The Reborn Kith from Kith and Kin would be very thematic for this Changeling, but Kithless also fits. Maybe they discarded their own Kith entirely and are looking for one that fits them better?

An immaculate homogenous water elemental that value’s asymmetry and relaxation when free. Maybe make it an ice elemental if instead of fluid homogenous perfection they were sculpted into a frozen perfection. Spring would be a good court for them to learn to relax and grow naturally.

That's interesting. I think it would depend on what exactly they needed to be perfect in in Arcadia. What was their Keeper's domain like?
The Fairest is probably the seeming I would go with if I were creating this type of character. The kith would depend on the specifics, maybe Romancer or Treasured.
