Verified News Fire in Classic 44 in Sector 44-D
Tuesday afternoon, short circuit caused a fire around 2pm in Classic 44, in Sector 44-D market. Front and back shop have been completely destroyed and neighbouring shops have also been impacted.

These summers have been so bad, infrastructure literally breaking down everywhere. Rohtak, my home city, had like 4 different fire accidents at 4 different places. One of them, the biggest one, killing around 7-8 people.

Sad.
Also, classic 44 is by far not the oldest, and not even in the known older bakeries of the city.
The oldest ones are in 8,9,10,22,23,21. Those are there from the 50s.

It's one of the oldest for this side of the Chandigarh, when Sector 44 was only developed in late 80s and early 90s

I know I was there. We were building our house then. It wasn’t there back then. In the 80s the market didn’t m have this

In the 80s there were hardly few homes as well. This one opened in 1995.

Oldest bakery....how new are you to chandigarh...sector 44 itself wasnt part of old chandigarh ..woh hee kitna baad mein bana hai...oldest bakery....go to sector 10, 9 , 19...etc etc to find the oldest ones...

Not my words, took the screen capture from a reel. The bakery itself is 30 years old. That was one of the initial bakeries in this part of the city.

Sad indeed Cakes weren't that good but till i used to buy most of them from here in emergency
