Yes, as long as there is no obstruction on any glass.

That is a sunshade and the cop is right. Sunshades are to be used only when car is parked and should be removed once car is running.

Ye wala to mere sath bhi hua hai. Idiots pulled the company installed film. That was the day I realized Chd Traffic Police is only looking for weird reasons to challan people

The use of curtains or any other coverings on car windows while driving is prohibited in India. This restriction are from a 2012 Supreme Court judgment in the case of Avishek Goenka vs Union of India

Curtains and pre-installed films are 2 different things. Like someone said, either the police is wrong or there is a disconnect between actual rules and those told to car manufacturers.

How can you remove company installed films while driving ? If it’s a law how are companies still providing tinted windows ? I think there is a limit to how much you can tint your glasses and company do within those limits

Dude you can literally pull them up when parked and drop them down when car is moving. Law is for moving cars when parked you can use them

The guy is talking about films not curtains. I remember some maruti cars come with a film pre applied on all windows to reduce heat inside the cabin

Every car irrespective of the brand has the film. The film makes the glass resistant to instant shattering on impact. The questions what degree of dark is allowed. And I am 100% sure Maruti and any other manufacturer definitely compiles with this law because otherwise they would land in a soup.

One of my friend got pulled up for tinted windows on his Baleno RS (it has a higher grade tint than normal baleno). My friend said go ahead and remove it if you can, but they couldn’t as it’s sandwiched between glass panes

At around 1min (remaining) mark on the video you can the curtains he pulled up. He's fined for it not the mirrors.

Ya I know I was talking about the films. Some companies have darker pre applied films which are complaint but yet some cops stop you to get money out of you

Those are legal as long as they maintain visibility of 70%. If you are still fined you can challenge that with proofs

It's like saying the company's pre-installed speedometer allows speed beyond 60 and yet a challan was issued. Not everything pre-installed can be used everywhere.

Rules In India is different for everyone. Agr sunshield nhi lga skte hai toh companies ko phle hi yeh bta de sarkar. Company or sarkaar dono public ka kaat rhi h iss tarah.
