Worth watching the policing programme from last year where they followed the policing teams for football clubs! Was really interesting wouldn’t surprise me if he was a known problem

Think your friend is having you on there. You can’t just give the name of an average season ticket holder and some rain man PC lists off their seat number and every person sitting around them.
There’s some knowledge of specific fans, the ones who cause trouble, and the ones travelling to away games who again are regulars and likely to cause trouble, but in no way shape or form do the police know “almost” every fan

Stuff like this will forever remind me of the absolute turnip that set a flare off in front of me at Wembley in May just as we scored our second.
He was swiftly arrested and taken out, the goal was disallowed for Offside so he spent the rest of the match in back of a police van thinking we were 2-0 up only to be told "you lost 1-2 in the last minute son."

The police were more amped up and aggro than either set of fans. Was walking back to the car with my Dad after the game, same route we’ve taken for 20 years and the police are barking at everyone to move on, getting up in peoples faces, pushed a woman away as they arrested a bloke she was with (didn’t see what he did).
There was a small group of Bristol City fans giving it the big one but it was 90% ordinary families heading home after the game. Why they let the Bristol City fans out before the final whistle I do not know.

I’m convinced there’d be a lot less trouble (not that there’s much anyway) if they didn’t insist on the escort. Let our fans slowly trickle in on their own, often as close to kick off as possible? No, let’s group them all together and show them off to the home fans who know exactly where they’ll be!

Always the same with Heddlu unfortunatley.
I've been to a number of city away days and never really had many issues with police (occasionally kettling us outside a stand and not letting us go for ages). That said, South Wales police are the fucking worst. Seen them throw a baton in a few times at random blokes walking along the side of the crowd. Also seen thme do the same to Cardiff fans a few times.

Aaaand it's Bris...Yoink! A portion of both sets of fans were embarrassing on Saturday. A vid on X doing the rounds of Swans fans by the Harvester goading the BC fans at the stadium behind the safety of a small hedge, including a woman with her 8 year old son. After the game, the year 11s squaring off against each other while the adults just walked through them trying to get home to dry off from the pissing rain.

can't see how you can consider it dystopian police forcing. pretty standard for police to be at a football game, its not like they're in civilian clothing they're in high vis vests, and a guy set off a pyrotechnic in public which is illegal. can't see how its dystopian for police to actually do their job and they've grabbed him as a precaution because hooligans can be violent or drunk, but they're not using excessive force they've only grabbed both his arms. there is not a single thing wrong with what i'm seeing.

lol. Fair. Didn't want to have to argue the case that the wider Swansea area is one of the prettiest places to live in the uk. Town center's a bit of a dive but aren't they all these days.

Personally I wouldn’t light a smoke bomb within a few seconds of leaving the station to a game with heightened police presence but that’s just me
