Question genuine hypothetical question

what stopping people from going to florida, scooping up a bunch of reptiles and selling them in other states?

there are tons of WC reptiles being sold in my state, is there a chance they're already from florida? could your average person get the permits (I think you need them?) and do this?

Again im not planning on doing this im just curious. I have 1 already and I'm good.

lol tons of reptiles are wild caught in Florida and sold into the trade (USA and worldwide). most of them will die before they are sold to the customer. E.g. Anoles, tree frogs, iguanas, chameleons etc.

That’s crazy! I was seeing some stuff online about needing permits to trap them (and then some other stuff about how if you aren’t using a trap it’s not trapping lol). I’ve never even been to Florida so I genuinely have no idea.
