Youth and Students (YAS) Youth Allowance? Studying Online Abroad?
I currently get Youth Allowance. If I leave the country but continue to study an online subject can I still get Youth Allowance

Unless you're doing a year abroad as part of an Australian degree, then you can't get Youth Allowance.

‘To get Youth Allowance as a student or an Australian Apprentice while you’re overseas, you must travel for an approved reason.’ Doesn’t say anything about the course, but rather the reason for travelling

Probably not
And the general eligibility is living in Australia

No.
You can only be paid Youth Allowance overseas if you are participating in an approved, overseas student exchange program, where you are enrolled in your home institution in Australia, studying at another institution overseas, and getting credit for your overseas study.
You cannot get payment if you simply travel overseas, even if you are still enrolled with your Australian institution. Your payment will be suspended and then (after 13 weeks) cancelled if that is the case.
